Homemade Veggie Burger

Homemade veggie burgers are insanely easy to make, and the best part is that ALL the ingredients are interchangeable. You can substitute your favorite beans, veggies and spices to create your favorite burger.


I package fresh mushrooms

1 bell pepper

1 cup diced scallions (or onions)

1 can chick peas (drained and rinsed)

1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

1 cup quick cooking oats

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 pepper

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Heat olive oil in a skillet on medium. Saute chopped mushrooms, pepper and scallions until softened. Add in salt, pepper, cumin, garlic and paprika. Transfer it all to a food processor. Add the remaining ingredients and process until mixture is combined. Form the mixture into patties and place in the over for 15 minutes on each side. Top with your favorite burger toppings, like Giuseppe’s Best Sun-Dried Tomato Habanero Pesto.
